At Teradata, I entered the world of agency work. It was my first B2B social assignment and my first taste of just how messy and technical this space could be. I was already shaping ideas for others, but in this new context, it was harder to be taken seriously as both a designer and a strategist. Honestly, that balance never fully landed. Depending on who I was working with and how well they knew me, I was either the designer or the strategist.
I created customer story videos that were launched on YouTube and developed native social content for LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. It was a crash course in the language and logic of B2B, but also a crash course in myself. It forced me to see how I was seen, how I wanted to be seen, and how I would eventually claim the strategist role outright.
